I have lived in Delaware County for more than 30 years. This place is my home, and I care deeply about all of its residents and the issues we continue to face as a community. I live with my Marine husband of 29 years and have three adult children and six beautiful grandchildren.
Growing up, my family lived in southwest Philadelphia where I graduated from John Bartram High School in 1983. My grandmother bought property and eventually operated her own business at a time where few women were able to do so. She later founded Unity Temple Church of God in Christ in Philadelphia, where my mother is the current Pastor. My family comes from a long line of strong women, and they have greatly shaped the person I am and the values I hold today.

Although I'm currently in a position to run for State Representative, I also know the struggle of barely making ends meet. I lived alone starting at the age of only 17 years old. By the time I was 22, I was separated, working two jobs, and house-cleaning for some extra income. When things got especially difficult, I thought only of providing for my children, and somehow made it work. My love for them, and my innate resilience, helped me through this difficult time and prepared me for the road ahead.
