Put YOUR oxygen mask on first!

When flying, there are emergency protocols given to passengers. One is to , "Place YOUR oxygen mask on first then help your neighbor". Don't get me wrong; this is not a me, myself, and I situation. We are better able to help our neighbors if we are alright. Unfortunately, we are ALL in need of help and those who can help are not! I am referring to elected officials we hired for the job. When we elect someone it is the same as filling a work position. We get so wrapped up in Political Party and who we like. This is and will continue to be a recipe for disaster. It is time to put our masks on and save ourselves. I never heard of anyone saying, "NO" to someone offering help during a crisis...
